Due to a huge response to the trip by newbies members of AD4x4 and the tremendous support volunteered by marshals, experts, advance and intermediate drivers, what was to be a small 5 person capacity newbie drive became a much larger multi-convoy event that in keeping with COVID protocols ensured safe and socially distanced fun for all.
After a general announcement and an introduction by the club's safety officer Marshal Adiga the 4 convoys plus support split in to respective groups for their own safety briefing and convoy arrangements.
I look forward to each convoy leader adding/posting their own trip report.
My designated team included
Support: Thomas**** (mytommi) & Ian** (Lanski), Syed** (as my co-pilot)
Newbies: Darren, Sunny, Shajumon and Reji,
Being advanced newbies with more than 10 newbie drives we gradually built up the challenges to give an opportunity to develop skills ready for the next level. Everyone drove very well with no stucks and just the occasional second try and showed good promise for an upgrade to the intermediate level. A big thanks to Ian as second lead and Thomas as sweeper.
See all again soon.
Michael

Trip Report (Convoy 2)
Thanks Marshal Emdoc for organizing and leading Mega Trip of Newbies. I led Convoy No.2 of Newbies and will cover the trip report of my convoy as follows:
Convoy 2
My convoy comprised following:
1 Marshal Lead ( irfpk)
2 Support Marshals (Adiga and Iguana)
1 Explorer (Pshasha)
1 Expert ( Kamran)
1 Advance ( Ali)
8 Newbies (Petermagdy, Anasrft, mmortagy, a3assem, DCol, riazbasil, shirinbahis, and 1 Wrangler)
Trip and Safety briefing was conducted by Marshal Adiga. We started our trip with some delay at 1515 after setting up of convoy order. Kamran (Expert) was my second lead and Marshal Adiga was official sweeper of convoy. We had to do recovery of Dodge Nitro as it got stuck at start point. Marshal Adiga and Iguana kept close eye on smooth movement of convoy and helped everyone in negotiating the obstacles. We started slowly with smooth and easy track on eastern side of Bu Tais (Main Gatch Road) heading towards South Easterly Direction. We had numerous second tries and number of stucks which all were handled / supervised by Marshal Iguana and Adiga. Snatch strap recoveries were done by Ali(Adv). One winch recovery was done by Kamran. We ended trip in time at 1800 on Bu Tais Main Gatch Rd ( 3 kms from Bu Tais Gate). After signing of logbooks, we sat for BBQ/ Chit Chat/ Coffee whereas few of us headed home.
I am extremely thankful to Marshal Iguana, Adiga and Pshasha for supporting the trip. Thanks Kamran and Ali for your extraordinary support.

Trip Report (Convoy 3)
Thanks Marshal Emdoc for organizing and leading Mega Trip of Newbies. This is the report from convoy 3.
Convoy 3
Lead: tompa-bjorka
2nd lead: Wallus
Followed by: Subashpk, Suhasthottoli, Windy
Sweeper: Christohe
After short safety brief we took off in western direction and tried to select a path without too many technical parts as we had a long wheel base F150 in the convoy. However, the F150 (windy) managed the technical parts very well, no issues. After some time we met up with marshal Marks convoy and made a break. Then turned around to the east. A couple of second tried and stucks during the drive, but in general it was flowing well. As all drivers had quite a few drives with the club, we also did some lower side slopes as preparation for the next level, all with no issues.
All drivers did well and showed good control of their cars and would support all of them to be upgraded to Intermediates. Special thanks to 2nd lead Wallus which had to change the track a few times, as well as sweeper Chrstohe.
We exited at the deflation point by 5:30pm.
