Great trip with brilliant people.
The side trip into the sand on the first day was good with Thabit leading us out - you did a great job Thabit - and driving the dried up wadis was a new experience. Loved the place that we went to on the second day - it looked like a film set.
Sorry I had to duck out early but plans back in Abu Dhabi.
Thanks Mpenzi.

Re: Mountain Retreat Trip Report
Thanks all for a great trip.
just one point to mention though and that is if there is no marshal on a trip it is not sanctioned in anyway by AD4x4, my advise is side trips should not occur, if you fancy a different type of drive ask and I’m sure a marshal will offer to lead it! thankfully no problems on the side trip but all the same we have rules for a reason.

I think we asked Mpenzi permission before we leave and he took us to entry pointDoc wrote:Thanks all for a great trip.

Re: Mountain Retreat Trip Report
Thanks for your understanding Thabit, it’s not that we don’t want you to have fun and I’m sure your capable as a driver but the rules were made to keep everyone as safe as possible whilst still retaining the fun.
Yes Mpenzi knew about it and when asked showed you the entry point as he felt a bit embarrassed to refuse.
like i say thanks again for your understanding, I’m sure soon you will move up to Explorer or higher and then you can run your own trips anyway.
