Short Notice Intermediate Night Drive 23/Feb - Report

All met up slightly late at mahawi adnoc and we headed towards al faya to deflate

It was a nice drive toward al khatim and we reached al khatim in 1 hour, so we started playing around.

But slowly the loong day started to take show, a couple of stucks and a lost shackle.

So we called it a day and headed out to al khatim petrol station to inflate.

Quick chat and back to civilization.

Thanks so much to Waqar for doing this drive at such short notice - just what I needed.

The drive was good but heck, the sand was very soft so we had some stucks, and then we had a couple of great stucks! Waqar kept the pace up and we all followed, enjoying the twists and turns of the dunes.

I was thinking how will I manage my 1st weekend without an offroading trip since few months, but Waqar to the rescue, perfect timing to relief my real addiction.

Finished work, went home to change and immediately heading to meeting point, after the trip, a quick shower and the taxi arrived to pick us to the airport, not a single minute of sleeping, but we reached in one piece. The weather is not that bad here in UK, or it may be just me numb from tiredness.

Back to trip report. The track was nicely selected, and despite the soft sand, we all had fun.
Waqar, will be waiting for the video and you know why hope it was clear.

p.s. The lesson we learnt from this trip is always carry a small shackle
