Report Sweihan to Al Faqaa Intermediate with Khaiwi

All met on time and headed to the deflation point, short briefing under the heat and there we started the fun.

The trip was almost 39km on straight line starting with small dunes and passing by some beautiful dunes and bowls allowing us to do some side sloping and side cresting on the way.

I would like to thank Jo and Lia for joining to help me out, also Xof and Imad for being there to help as well, havn't seen you guys in ages.

Fox and Sagger560 good job guys, I hope you have enjoyed the trip and went out with added experience on the dunes.

T-J i am sorry for your car and hope next time you join my trip.

Thanks Khaiwi for a wonderful trip. This was another nice route, and the
rest beside the water tank was almost like sitting in a forest.

I never did Sweihan on the North-pass. Its a cool run

I worked hard to get my stuck-album filled and I guess I achieved it

So, a perfect trip and day.

Thank you khaiwi...

i was no more than 20 mins away from the meeting point when the temperature in my car went to the top, and the pipe connecting the radiator to the engine was disconnected!!!

my first fear was "oh no, i lost the engine!!!"

pulled over, switched the car off peacefully, got everything in place, filled the radiator with water, and everything looked ok, started the car, it started, so realized that the engine is ok, but also found out that one of the belts was cut... which was the problem in the first place.

so: one of the two belts of the water pump and the dynamo was cut... that prevented the water from the radiator to get into the engine, hence it overheated creating great pressure that disconnected the pipe (the pipe connecting the the radiator and the engine), the radiator water went everywhere, including outside the hood (luckily so i was able to see it).

so.. i took the car on a recovery back to RAK, will be all fixed in a couple of days or so.


i am sorry i wasnt able to join the trip, but you never know, it might be for the better... to happen on the road is way better than on the off-road!!

That was good to see old friends i had not meet for quite some time!

Thanks Chief for the trip, it was a nice track that i never did, with some beautifull massive dunes in the middle! this age the opportunity for some to improve their parking skills on the top of some crest...

Despite it was a Jeep Trip, we has to allow Jo to come, cause we needed someone to tease, and it was a good decision, as we teased him a lot! But my old friend, you give us so much opportunities!
