This was a special trip for more than 10 brave absolute newbies, and more newbies around... 35 cars left the overpacked ADNOC petrol station, for the longest road convoy i lead so far (honey, don't look back, i think we are followed...)
We reach the deflation point, took care to remove the air out of the tires where not needed (the bottom part) and gave the ANIT briefing. But everybody was impatient to hit the sand, so after splitting the convoy in 2, we went for the ANIT drive...
Slowly but surely, we headed torward the dunes. It's always very hard to find a track for ANIT, as you need to adapt to the "newbiest"... but not stay on a catch road. So easy it was... at the beginning for all to test and taste their car in the sand... few small downhills, to feel the excitation... and from very easy, we went to easy... a few stucks that my marshal brothers handled, until i miss the easiest road and went the "not as easy" one... Then the real fun started, with a few more stucks (for demonstration purpose) which kept us busy untill the sundown, when all were out on the shabkha, and reach the party.
