Missed AD4X4 during my vacations, so decided to go for an 8 km offroad trip on my own.
Start point: my home in Vierheim, Germany.
Vehicle: 2 leg offroad
Deflation: occurred at the end of the trip.
I went to the highest sand dune of the area. It was formed 12.000 years ago at the
end of the ice age when the Rhine river valley was full of gravel and sand, and west winds
blew the sand out and accumulated it to form sand dunes. The highest dune, called Glockenbuckel,
is 15 m high ! The trip continued through green forest, a break at the place with wild
blackberries. Encountered squirrel, deer, wild boar and woodpecker. No sweating during the
entire trip, pleasant 15 degrees.
Now looking forward to even bigger dunes and to climb them with 4 wheel drive Jeep !
Will be back in Abu Dhabi in one week's time.

Thanks khaiwi ! By the way on this trip I found an unlucky guy who had a rollover,
and helped him back upright. A remarkable vehicle indeed: a 6X6 black beetle !
