Newbies in Dubai 17th Feb Report

All expected to be at first meeting place were there on time....others arrived at deflation point as agreed prior.

We had good groupu, consisting of newbies; millhouse, sis, pepsi & abed, cherif also gave anit to Hangtin and his friend, not sure on user name (sorry)....also had intermediates - shadi + Ahmadhammad, advanced- Jayne and Marshals Mamoun, Waleed and Cherif(as pax) who provided good support. Unfortunately Bio couldnt make it, but nice enough to advise last night, thank you....

Thanks Jayne for the safety briefing, well done then after I allocated convoy places we got underway..We took nice track for 23kms before exiting....we had several stucks, even some marshals kind enough to park for demonstration purpose of recoveries, thanks guys

Thanks Millhouse for good second lead, thanks jayne for sweeping and recovery "director". There was a lot of wind, alot of sand in faces, in ears and in eyes.....and this also made for some soft spots too....well done to all.

We exited late...3mins , but still got to gas station and mosque in time as planned.....

Thanks for a nice trip Sean. Well done on getting us in and out safely - It was quite an experience to have the tracks in front of you disappearing and, at times, very limited visibility...

I think Jayne deserves a medal... she worked very hard with the recoveries and organising the back in very tough conditions.

Great to see all the usual crew with their usual great sense of humours, never laughed so much when Mamoun filled my jeep with sand (and even funnier he did not realise until lunch time), its now advertising it's services as a sand dump truck :lol
Have not been out in a sand storm that bad for a whiile, everyone did great with the conditions. No need for gym membership after today's workout
Really enjoyed everyone's company at lunch and the coffee!!

Plus it was a good test for my new ride and I was satisfied with it, need's some mods in there n it will be in better shape. Sherif advised me to consult a marshal who has the same car, cant remember his name.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for the trip you lead. It was a wonderful and I enjoyed it (I'm sure the same feeling with the rest of the group, particulary the Newbies) eventhough the weather is very rough - heavy sandstorm everywhere.

Actually, I had a long gap in joining desert trips due to some health issue. But when I saw your invitation I did not hesitate to join for I know in AD4x4'S prime policy is "SAFETY FIRST" as always been a practice in every trip. I feel safe and I confident and that can finish the trip. I'm looking forward for next one (in Dubai) as usual.

Thanks to all members of your team who assisted us and demostrated their skills .... Excellent job. We hope we can enjoy the same privillege in the future.
