Jo, Lia, Gladiator, Hani, SSS and myself and Kat met at Musaffah Adnoc late Thursday and drove to Madinat Zayed, then head to a farm house of the VIP who invited us. We spent the evening in his hospitality where Charo joined us later. Almost by midnight we set our tents right behind the farm house, while SSS and Hani had to head back to Abu Dhabi.
Friday morning, packed our tents back to the farm house and quickly drove to Mzeiraa picked up a couple of passengers and met Sharkas, Bigboss and Zouzou at Arada Adnoc for last fuel and to the deflation point. Once there, a briefing was given and the fun begins. The area is new to most of the drivers in the trip. A very tricky area with extremely soft sand and medium size dunes. A couple of hours and the host of the farm house called us to join our trip. So we headed south to meet him near Arada main road.
It was almost 2pm when we started again heading to Moreeb dune. We gave the lead to Mr. Salem (the host) who drove us to Moreeb hill without GPS
I was driving behind him all the time and I can tell that experience was so obvious. The route he selected was Intermediate as per our Liwa standard. It was almost 5:30 when we reached the road near Moreeb hill where some of us decided to drive back to Abu Dhabi and the rest stayed for bbq at Moreeb hill.We definitly had great fun driving around 90km in the sands of Liwa.
