Al Khatem Afternoon 11/5

Hi all,
First off all I want to thank every body who jioned my trip .
The plan changed from Al Khatem to razeen and mood he take over the trip because I can't be there because off something happened with my family , so I'm very sory .
Thank you mood for the help.

We've changed the plan and we went to razin with great offroaders .....
Started at 0430pm in a super soft sand and we finished at 1030 pm .....
All did very well during the Day and night Drive ...

Qaruoty, I hope all is well with you and the family.

In your absence, Mood took over and led us to Razeen. As mentioned by Mood, the sand was super soft and the area and the track were challenging and great fun. The track chosen was fantastic as it provided not only fun but also great learning.

After a few normal stucks and pop-outs, cruising at high speed through the big dunes, we found a really nice spot on a large dune where we sat together from just before sunset until it was quite dark. This was a great experience with lots of stories, jokes and great sandwiches, thanks to Smiley!

The pitch dark of the desert saw us back in our cars to start the night drive under the stars - a different style of driving and a different track back to civilization, or should that be semi-civilization (truck road)?!!!

Re-inflated and thoroughly satisfied, we all headed back home on the loooooooooooooong truck road ( I thought it would never end and the stupid GPS on the Jeep radio told me to go the other way, and that home was 360 km away! Of course, I ignored it and carried on on the truck road, until it changed its mind and told me home was half an hour away! I guess sometimes the mind does beat technology after all!!!!!

Mood, Smiley, Buckhardt, Juergen, Mamoun, 70 Maitha, Raindog and passengers: thank you all for a great afternoon and night drive - long to be remembered! I look forward to meeting you all again in the sand on another great trip!


To all those who couldn't join - you missed a great trip, but I hope whatever prevented you from coming is all sorted out. To those who did come, once again let me say a big thank you, especially to Mood and the Marshals for showing us this lovely area and for their leadership and 'on the job' coaching!
