REPORT: Liwa peaks with Tawalbeh Fri 18 May 2012

Post by Tawalbeh »

All were there except Abu Samra who apologized early in the morning and MalteJK who decided to quit at the meeting point due to problem in the car.

Deflated around 11:00 and drove about 55Kms in Liwa where ,in general, most of it was ascending type drive. Peak after peak after peak and I can see that our great Intermediates acquired some useful skills to deal with this driving style in effective and safe way. I guess that they know now that physics plays better role than engine's power in such tracks.

Was challenging in some areas but you guys and gals were up to it for sure.... :D

All did a great job and I would like to thanks Eisa, Zeer, Mamoun and Cherif for their super job in keeping this trip well supported and enjoyable for all.

Fox: Was great to see you again my friend. I hope that you enjoyed the advanced drive sections at the back with Mammon.
Shadi and drsoto: Impressive performance. You shouldn’t stay long in this grade ;)
ritter: You did a great Job as usual…
Snappy: Obvious progress...keep it up.

Thanks all and see you again in my next trip "Measure the max heat in the Empty Quarter Desert - 2012 summer version - ZERO ZERO ZERO point" .. :D

Evening All!

Another great trip.... though I don't think the wee beastie agrees so much this time, with its overheating attention seeking episode! It made it home safely last night thanks to your kind attentions and will make its merry way to the repair shop tomorrow! Hopefully nothing too serious so it can be back on the sand having fun next week!

as always videos to follow.....they're just too darn big and the website doesn't like them sorry!

I always enjoy your trips Tawalbeh. The drive Friday was the most fun one I've gone on in a while and I was glad for it to get a little more technical. Looking forward to the next Liwa trip in June! Fun track and fun group, thanks everybody!
