Late Afternoon drive 1st Feb 2013 - Report

So we had MLC, Nautibean, Grizzly, Desert_storm, Berho_desert, ossme and tillybean all geared up for the night drive to sweihan.

Was a smooth drive with a good number of stucks, second tries, pop outs and motion sickness

everyone did really well and started to cope better with the lack of sun/moon light!

We had an impromptu birthday party...on top of the crest with cake, party HATS! and those things you blow into

full with sugar we kicked off the drive to sweihan.....

We reached sweihan, where we caught up with walleed and had mandi on the way back

Was a really memorable drive.

This was a great night drive and everyone did very well. The opportunity for learning something new/practising a skill is always a good thing, and this trip was no exception. The dunes are so different at night and you need to have a keen sense of whats going on around you.

A few stucks and pop outs contributed to the fun and allowed great "teaching moments" for all.

Thanks to Waqar for once again doing something different and providing a safe and exciting learning opportunity for everyone.

Well done to Grizzly, Nautibean, Desert_storm, BERHO_desert and ossme - you all did really well. Keep up the great work and get some more night drives under your belts.

MLC - as always, a great sweep.

Thanks again Waqar. And thanks for the sugar rush !! I hope we didnt frighten too many camels with our rendition of Happy Birthday!!

One word: awesome!

One question: when can we do it again?

One observation: a light bar is best when it's actually attached to the car and works!!! (Phil are you listening????)

Really great fun

3 lessons learnt.

Lesson 1 - dont let ossme cut cake
Lesson 2 - i know how to fix a pop out
Lesson 3 - waqars sense of time is fluid. 10 mins can equal 1 hr

What is special about this trip is the company around you

The cutting was, but the taste of the cake was still good.

Lesson 2 - remember to always have a spoon handy if you let Ossme cut the cake!
