It was a nice actually cold morning with temperatures around 10 degC on the way to Sweihan, also some fog that cleared before 8 AM. After deflation we had the safety brief and set up the convoy. Kman was second lead and Geert sweeper. Kman had asked in advance to do a part lead of this trip. We started out nice and easy and did some basic practicing of side cresting. Which all already were mastering very well. So the convoy progressed very well in direction Nagra. We had one or two stucks and couple of second tries which gave opportunities to take good fotos and practice recoveries.
When we reached the power lines, kman (Konstantin) took over the lead. Kman held a formal safety brief and kept the convoy as before with the only difference me being the second lead. Kman did a very good job as lead, picked nice track and had good communication with the convoy. When we were almost at the Nagra dune, the thing happened that we thought would be impossible, Amirs 3.5 ton Raptor got stuck-stuck on top of a crest
. But we managed even this recovery and soon we made it to the trees at Nagra where we had a break. After the break, we took the easy way out as one car was experiencing some unexpected mechanical issues and longer could use the 4x4. But even this worked out well and we made it back to deflation point safely.
I think everybody were doing really well. Especially would like to mention kman who did part lead like he has done this many times before. And MJobara, who was driving all the way to Sweihan from RAK for this trip, that is dedication.
