Drivers:
Myself, Jo, The Baron (Rene), Ajesh, Bishar.

We all met up at around after 7 AM at Bu Tais Gate, together with the Newbie and Intermediate convoys. At briefing, Ajesh called and said he and Bishar were on the way from Sweihan as Emdoc had an issue with his car and could not do the planned Lead/Sweep trip. We decided to meet them later down in the dunes, and took off. This was Jo’s 3rd advance drive and we started with some easy rounds small crests to warm up, then picked some bigger ones, all went very well. Close to the oasis/trees we met Ajesh and Bishar, who joined the convoy. Ajesh second lead, followed by Jo and Bishar (4th advance drive) and Rene as sweeper. We continued to the Oasis where we met up with the Newbie and Intermediate convoy for a break. Then the drive continued further on parallel with the Sabkha, doing lots of smaller cresting, but also tried some bigger ones. Jo and Bishar showed great side cresting talent and also took good decisions to rather go down, than fighting gravity and try to get up on the crest by all cost. Keep up that good work.

Around 10:30 we turned around and followed lines parallel to Sabkha all the way back to the Umm Al Osh road, with Ajesh leading the convoy for a while, then drove down to the roundabout for inflation.

Good drive with lots of practice in handling the car in the basic side crests. Jo and Bishar, keep up the good work and drive, drive, drive. Every trip will lead to new experiences and confidence will grow.

Wildlife spotted: Some birds.

See you soon in the sand.

Nice drive Thomas. Good learning opportunity of the basics for the newer advance drivers.

Thank you very much for a really amazing trip. The flow was good and comfortable. Your patience while I did all my second, sometimes 3rd tries and figuring out my momentum and speed, were really appreciated.

Will see you in the sand very soon.

Thank you for a nice morning drive, Thomas. Bu Tais is a great place and the drive was very comfortable and gave everyone an opportunity to practice and become comfortable with side cresting. Till next time.
