Report: Newbie+++ Saturday 20th Feb Exploration Trip

What an epic exploration trip. All met on time on Razeen road, got briefed and set up the following convoy order:

- Flaghunter (lead)
- Pjro2019 (second lead)
- afsal001
- Subhashpk
- Suhasthottoli
- ShaneJenko
- Ayfasad4x4
- sooraj3000 (sweeper)

The plan was to reach Um Al Ouch and come back, all through the dunes. We started driving East on the gatch to what was meant to be the entry point to the dunes, but saw some really nice dunes to our left and entered much earlier. The area was extremely nice and challenging with some soft sand, high dunes, and good amount of slip face practice.

All drivers were either intermediate or about to be upgraded from newbie and did really really well, so we changed the trip level to almost intermediate and spent most of the day learning and practising side sloping and bowl entry & exit. The areas we played in were so good that we totally forgot about our goal - we didn't reach even 20% of the way there but had a lot of fun with a few well administered recoveries and some nice breaks for chitchat.

We headed back to the gatch at about 2pm. By 3pm, everybody had their tyres inflated and logbooks signed. Great day out, we will definitely come back to the area.
