Exploring the star dunes:27/2/21

After meeting roughly on time, and welcoming back long time absentee Firas to the trip, we set convoy order with Mustafa as second lead followed by Matt and Ahmed with our new expert Thomas as sweeper and Sinan and marshal Firas observing the convoy.

We started on some medium-sized dunes as a warm up before heading for the larger dunes, sharper crests and bigger bowls of the area. It didn't take long to find a rhythm cresting from bowl to bowl,  adding in some technical sections to spice things up and focus attention, and of course stopping occasionally to play in the bigger bowls.

Unfortunately after a few hours of play, an issue  my electronic throttle control put an end to the exploration of the area.

Thanks to all for making the day a typically great and enjoyable AD4x4 adventure and the Jeep issue notwithstanding, a good time was had and definitely the exploration will continue soon.

Thank you Michael for the trip, as usual area is nice to play in and it was really great to catch up after all this time, it was a pleasure to meet new faces and enjoy the drive together.
sorry to what happened to your Jeep and hope it is solved now.
