Friday Afternoon in Abu Hyrabah Convoy 2

This was my first lead with my new desert buddy, a r50 pathfinder. We decided to split the trip into 2 convoys and I took the fairly new intermediate drivers in my convoy.

We headed westward entering a little after the bu tais gate. We started off slowly trying straight descents over medium slopes, side sloping medium dunes and as the convoy started adjusting to the track, the level was increased.

We had some second tries ,an assisted recovery and a pop out all of which was handled reasonably quickly.

All drivers did well with Reji finding more visibility after removing the dark tint and Darren impressed with good control of the vehicle on his first intermediate drive.Fraser and Ahmad did great in pushing their vehicles through the different challenges.

Thanks to Christohe too for a good sweep.

All in all a good outing . The pathfinder also turned out to be a good choice though the FJ was greatly missed.
