Exploring the sands: from Um al Oush to Bu tais: 29/05/21

After a foggy start to the day we met to start our exploration from the start dunes of Umm al Osh to Bu tais. The drive started in the medium sized technical dunes where the drivers developed and improved their vehicle control before entering and cruising and climbing around the larger dunes of Bu tais. The part leads by Tommy then Asif were a joy to follow, both choosing good lines that both stretched our intermediate drivers and allowed their confidence to grow in a safe and controlled manner.

Thanks to all who joined, to the intermediates who are improving with each drive, to John for a great second lead and to Asif and Tommy for good leadership while at the front and good guidance when acting as sweepers. Very well done to all.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning out, I look forward to more like this soon.
