I would like to thank each and every member who joined my trip today. I had in mind that with temperatures increasing, that this would be my last weekend driving advance for the season. We had an amazing night drive with Tompa yesterday, and today morning advance was the cherry on top.

We were supposed to meet by 7:00am at gate 12, yet we had some delays, which was totally fine as it gave us more time enjoying Marshal Ahmad’s breakfast.

Convoy coming together by 8:00am and briefing done swiftly, we started our drive. We tackled almost every trick or maneuver in the book; from switching technical dunes to big bowls, to double and triple switching etc .. throughout the way, we had some breaks where we took our time debriefing and discussing the challenges and recommended solutions. Members performance differed post debriefing. Finally, we reached Nagra where Nagra engineer, Marshal Ahmad, showed us how this dune is to be conquered. Hats off for your skills brother. After that, we relaxed a bit by the trees and enjoyed a water melon sponsored by Marshal Hadi.

By the time we were done, it was almost 11:00 am, yet the convoy agreed to exit by bbq location, however reaching there through the dunes rather than gatch. We out by the tarmac by almost 11:30.

Thank you Mustafa - and thank supporting marshals and drivers alike, for making this a very enjoyable trip. Some good practice double/triple switching, nice track and good pace.

My passenger also really enjoyed, so hopefully we will see him joining trips next season in his own car - when he has purchased a 4x4

It was nice to get back to Sweihan which I haven’t seen for quite a while.

It was a very enjoyable morning trip and great track, Mustafa. Many thanks to you and Marshalls Ahmed and Hadi for taking the time to run for a while, break for debrief and chats, repeat. Great company of drivers and i hope we all meet up again soon.

Considering its my first advance in Abu Dhabi and 4th overall, the drive wasn’t a piece of cake, yet enjoyable, loved cresting and switching the first set of big dunes so much, had a couple of second tries in the shorter double and triple switches, and the causes where discussed during the de-brief during the drive which benefited me a lot with some tips and tricks.

Enjoyed marshel’s hadi company as a passenger for part of the drive who seems not to enjoy/trust FJs that much

Nagra dune cherry on the top, took me a while to get to the height i can do the switch after a couple of tries.

Always a pleasure to drive with mustafa, ahmed, hadi shady, Rob, and to meet Mikel.

In general, learned and enjoyed a lot.
