What a drive, this morning has to be one of the most fun intermediate drives I have done in a while. the area lends itself to really good flow and the squad did fantastic today. We met up at Tilal Sweihan just after sunrise and got ready after a safety briefing and discussion about our plan for the morning.
To warm up we did a quick play on the big dune next to the raceway and found Ciby having problems with his gearbox. Such a disappointment for him and I can understand how frustrating it is to wake up early with a plan for a good drive and have to head home while just getting started. He made the right decision however as the weather got very hot by 10am.

We crossed the Sabkha and moved into the dunes navigating around the fences to be able to play safely in the dunes. After crossing the fences we started to climb in the larger dunes which allowed us some beautiful climbs and flows toward the big bowls.

With the big bowls we practiced in the first one entering and exiting and learning how to climb out from different angles and routes if the obvious one is not so easy. And we continued flowing our way all the way to G Bowl which everyone did very well side sloping and most importantly learning to turn down when they ran out of power.

Only a few stucks and mostly from straight crests everyone else did their own self recoveries and most importantly took things carefully to do a 2nd try.

Thank you Zak, and it was great to finally meet you. The drive was good and we found some fun bowls to experience however it was getting very hot at the end of the drive - Summer is coming.
