We met at 06:00 h, deflated and conducted trip & safety briefing. It was the first advance trip for James and the second for Bassem. We started with an easy pace to warm up. After a while we started to crest some lower easier dunes. We had a number of breaks when the 2 advance novices got a lot of advice from the 2 more experienced drivers.
We continued our way to the East and increased the level by choosing more difficult approaches to the crests. Bassem and James demonstrated good handling and always turned down when not 100% sure that they could make it. This is the right and safe approach to learn cresting.
After almost 2 hours we decided to get back to the starting point. Rob was taking over the lead and chose a nice track that eventually took us back to Al Faya road. There we met Zak and his Newbie convoy, which was a nice surprise.
We had many second tries and a few stucks, all handled safely by the team.
Thanks to Bassem for a good second lead and Rob for a reliable sweep and excellent part-lead.
Thanks for joining and see you soon again in the sand.
Thomas

Thanks Thomas for organising the trip and for offering the part-lead, which i enjoyed.
Bassem and Jamie, you both did very well at the new level. Keep it up.
Hope to catch up with you all on future trips.
