Lead trip ## 15

There was 23 registrants and 20 joined for the drive. 3 no shows were there and removed from the list.
Everyone arrived on time and did the briefing by myself with Chief Adiga’s support. Since there was 20 drivers, we set two convoys and started moving by 3.15. I will write report for convoy 1, with convoy order as follows

We started with some open area around 50 meters inside parallel to gutch road. Everyone was doing good. One driver slightly changed the track and as a result he slowly moved to a very small bowl. We tried to pull him out by using Marshall Kamran’s winch but the car was not moving at all. Then Marshal Michal intervened and took the car out. Later we found that his Tyre pressure was above 27, which happened because of his faulty gauge.

Then everything was smooth and through some technical area we reached gutch road in the east by 4.30. We took a coffee break and moved to east side there was some big dunes through an open and easy way. We practiced some small and big straight crests.
With couple of stucks and second tries we reached barbecue point 6.10.

Thank you Marshal Irfan for joining this trip and leading second convoy. Thank you Marshal Thomas and Michal for your advice and support wherever we required. Thank you Marshal Michal for taking car from bowl with your expertise. Thank you chief Adiga for your eagle eye between both the convoys and your valuable advices. We enjoyed watching your buggy ride as well.

Everyone did very well and Thank you all for supporting me by joining yesterday’s trip. It was a real pleasure driving with you all and enjoyed the trip to the best. This participation of all makes me more a proud member of AD4x4.

We few sit after drive for some chit chats and barbecue. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you Khaled, Irfan and Kamran for the tasty food.

Newbies (Convoy 2) PM 22 Oct 2022 – Trip Report

Thanks Shajumon for organizing this trip. I led Convoy 2 and its trip report is as follows:

The convoy 2 comprised following:
Irfan ( Marshal Lead)
Adiga, Pshasha ( Marshal Support)
suryasingh (Intermediate)
Vipinmp08, manytoolsmike, Bigmack, savage007, Hansi (Newbies)

We started trip at 1530 after deflation and setting up convoy order. Vipindas (newbie) was second lead and Suryasingh (Int) took over as sweeper of convoy. Marshal Adiga (on Buggy) and Pshasha were there to help newbies in negotiating obstacles. The track was smooth as per newbie level. No pop outs but one stuck (winch recovery by savage007 supervised by Adiga) and numerous second tries. We ended trip at 1750 at BBQ point (Gate 12 side). Some of us stayed back for BBQ/Chit Chat/ Refreshments whereas others headed home.

Thanks Vipindas for very solid second lead, and Suryasingh for your role as sweeper of Convoy. Thanks Marshal Adiga and Pshasha for your support as usual.

I joined this trip after a long break due to my heavy duty schedule in the hospital.  I was a little concerned about my gap in the desert. After the warm up ( first half an hour easy tracks), the fear was gone. Thanks Shaju for arranging this trip. Thanks all Marshalls for your supports and care

Thank You Shajumon for this amazing drive, We had a great time as a sweeper and enjoyed a lot. We learned how to recover from mini bowl, was able to do a quick recovery and also to assist with Descent. Excited to meet new folks and hoping to meet all in upcomming drives.
