Butais round to Um al Oush with Friends

After perfect night of camping we met up on the slopes of the Butais Dunes. The weather was stunning and we had fluffy clouds most of the day and cool temperatures throughout with a cool breeze all day. We have conducted a safety briefing and given the overall plan for the day, we would drive Butais until noon and then cross to Um al Oush after lunch.
With good spirits and our friends following we started playing on the big dunes of Butais and taking an overall easy advance track. The mood for the whole team was very high and after a good morning we started crossing towards Um al Oush.
We stopped for lunch and setup our shades and relaxed for very long lunch break. Our friends brought bbq and we happily chilled out enjoying the good company for 2 hours. After a good lunch and full stomachs we continued the crossing. I miss calculated the distance and didnt check my GPS and we found after lunch we still had 10km of small dunes to cross. Luckily that our stomachs were so full we needed a chilled drive to digest.
Once we reached to the Mega Dunes we started our way to enjoy some seriously high scenery but still taking an easy track without too much pushing.
With the excitement still high we quit while we were ahead and made our way home.
It was a day to remember and Im so grateful to have spent it with all of you.
