Thanks to all that joined this extremely pleasurable Sunday morning trip around the lower reaches of Um al Oush.

Some of us camped the night before and were joined on time by others allowing us to set off while the temperature was cool. After a brief warm up we entered the larger dunes of the area with its sharp crests, and interesting and often irregular shaped bowl formations. Driving at a level to account for the increasing temperatures and softness of the sands, the drivers met the fun of the dunes with the required focus and attitude. With only the occasional stuck we (virtually) managed to complete our aim of driving the whole dune range.

Later in the drive, James took over the lead for an enjoyable second session around the area and safely taking us to the inflation point by 10:45

A good drive with fine company in an area that is always both fun and challenging.
