We all met on time, and after the safety briefing, set off into the dunes. Being a large group it was decided to have a rotating convoy order, apart from Chris, who stayed at the back to keep an eye on us all.

We set the tempo for the drive in accordance with the time of year and size of convoy and headed towards the star dune formations. Upon getting to the large dunes of the area, we proceeded to play, climb and crest around the dune range.

Unfortunately, about an hour into the drive one of the cars developed an engine issue. Although not serious, the driver chose not to tempt fate and take an early exit, and was kindly escorted out by another member of the team.

The drive then continued as we started, with a balance of both technical and high speed manoeuvres around the dunes.

Later in the drive, and to provide the advance team with different styles of leading, the lead was handed over first to Chris and then James for two thoroughly enjoyable expert led sessions. Thanks guys, for great leads.

As is the case, all good things come to an end and we finally wound our way back to the inflation point at the designated time.

Thanks all for joining, everyone drove well, with safety in mind, and in accordance with the temperatures and softness of the sand.
