First trip to Bu Tais for me this season. This was an advance drive, I was joined by Bassam, Andrei, Glenn and Kevin. Andrei sweep, Glenn 2nd lead. We started out around 6:30AM at the sabkha, found some pretty big dunes to practice higher side cresting. We were alone in the area, except a number of camel herds which we stayed away from with safe distance. The drive went in north-west direction for a good 3.5h. The level was a bit challenging for all at some points with many learning opportunities that were discussed during breaks. I was the only one to get stuck, needing a recovery, managed by Andrei.
So, good trip in nice area, all did well and we all learned some things this morning, exited around 10 AM.

Re: Report Yellow Fever to Bu Tais Sunday
Thank you marshal for hosting this trip.
This trip was a learning curve for me. Specifically when taking the crest to stay on it in a downward trajectory, I found myself unable to stay on the crest and wanting to leave it . I’ll incorporate the feedback I’ve received from you and Kevin on my next advance trips.
Thank you for the wonderful track and awesome experience.
Thank you Kevin for your solid support and watchful eyes.
Looking forward to seeing all in the desert soon.
