Kick off the weekend drive

We all met at the deflation point within 10 minutes of the scheduled meeting time. Google maps had misled one driver coming from Dubai. I gave the safety briefing, assigned radio frequencies and set convoy order. We lined up and did our radio check and set off to the east of the gatch road.

Started our warmup while keeping a close eye of everyone to see how they was doing. Short break and restressed the importance to not fight gravity or drift. Then we moved to the medium sized dunes side sloping our way east. The afternoon was a perfect way to start the weekend. We had a few second attempts, one stuck and one popout. everyone worked together and had the popout fixed in no time. We all had an enjoyable afternoon ending the trip at the inflation point at 1740.

Ed it was nice to drive with you again, good job today. The more you drive the more you understand your vehicles and your capabilities.

Thanks a lot Tim for organizing - it was a quality afternoon indeed!

Driving with high level drivers like today's group makes me appreciate even more the importance of the laws of 4x4: keep safe distance, dont fight gravity, be in control/pro-active rather than reactive.
