DXB Saturday Morning Newbie

We met at the 2nd December Cafeteria at 7:00 am and started driving at 08:00 after a comprehensive safety briefing with the following convoy border.

Bobin (sweeeper)

We had 2 no-shows.

During the first stage, we did some straight crests in the pink rock area to test our skills. We then crossed to the other side and tried the steep climb practicing the way to control our vehicles and knowing when to turn towards downslope. After this we took a break over the pink rock.

After the pink rock stop we increased the pace and headed towards big red and the high dune behind it. We climbed the first high dune but struggled at big red due to excessive tire tracks. We decided to approach the big red from the Badayer Retreat side and there almost all the drivers managed to make it to the top, safely turning downslope. We then took the Badayer crossing and playes around for another 30mins there is ending at the shops at 10:30.

Overall it was a pleasant drive with no stuck and few self recoveries. Iyad did well as the second lead. thanks to Bobin for his support. thanks to all the fellow drivers for their great effort. I hope to drive with you again soon.
