DXB-Practicing session for Beginners

We all gathered at Badayer shops around 14:45. Marshal Sai has organized this drive but as he was not feeling alright, he asked me to take the lead. The trip was supported by Marshal Buldozer, Marshal Gabor, Explorers Sinan and Bobin. After safety briefing we started the drive at 15:15 with the following convoy order:

Engin (Lead)
Andrea (Second lead)
Gopal
Sefa
Ghassan
Sreejith
Rizkallah (Sweeper)

We had a number of no shows and cancellations ahead of the drive.

We first played around the BBQ area for around 45 minutes and took our first break to enjoy the Diesel coffee of Buldozer. At the second stage, we headed towards the high dunes. In the first attempt, we striggled a little bit and lost the convoy order. But following the the guidance of Marshal Buldozer, we regrouped and we conquered the high dunes from an easier route without any major issues. Rest of the time we played around in the same area not too far away from the shops. We took another break to watch the sunset and at 17:45 we drove back to the shops with smiling faces.

The terrain at Badayer was awful due to too much activity and the rain that fell the day before. The increasing population of the UAE, which we feel in the traffic on SZR, makes itself felt in the desert as well. It is very difficult to find untouched dunes over the weekends.

All in all, the drivers handled the course very well. We had few second tries and one snatch recovery.

It was great to have Marshal Gabor with us.

Thank you Engin for taking over the convoy. Excellent track for newbie lead by allowing them on big terrains by finding easy tracks. No one can beat your briefings. Thank you Marshal Bulldozer, Sinan and bobin for the support. Good to see fellow Marshal Gabor after years. Excellent second lead by Andrea and sweeping by Riskallah.. Alhamdulillah safe and out on time.
