DXB - Saturday Afternoon Newbie

We gathered at the 2nd December meeting point at 14:30 and after the ANIT safety briefing we started driving at 15:15. We had few cancellations and we formed the convoy in the following order.

Dharmendra (sweeper)

Explorer Sinan
Explorer Bobin


We started off at the NW direction to warm up and test the drivers skills at a number of straight crests. At this stage we had one stuck, where Murat's long Sandrunner sat on its belly. There Chief Marshal Bulldozer demonstrated rope recovery to the drivers and we moved on to the back side of Pink Rock. We then tried steep climb and turns before we took a break at the Pink Rock enjoying Bulldozer's Diesel coffee.

From there on we had a smooth drive all the way to Big Red and watched the sunset at the break we took at BiG Red. We ended the drive at the Badayer Shops at 18:00.

All drivers did well and they seemed to have enjoyed the trip and the tracks chosen. We had three ANIT drivers in this drive and all three I think are good to take their first star.
