Following an oversubscription to the drive, it was decided to have 2 convoys. After dividing up the cars into big and small, the larger vehicles came with me and the smaller ones went with Tim.

We had a safety briefing and then set convoy order and proceeded to the dunes of upper Bu tais.

It was great drive through the clean sands of the area for practicing and improving intermediate level skills.
We stopped from time to time, and met up with the other convoy for chats and to go over driving techniques to improve competency.

All did very well, with only a great self-recovery and popout to provide stationary entertainment.

Thanks to all that joined, to Faris and Samir for performing great second lead and sweep duties, and to Tim for leading the second convoy.

A truly fun day in the sand.
