We all met at the deflation point at 2PM. There were a few late straddlers but eventually we started our briefing at 2:20 PM. All 3 convoys were relatively small. Our convoy had 2 new intermediate drivers where-by this was their first intermediate drive. So we did a detailed briefing where in we discussed all the possibilities and discussed various scenarios of what all could happen in this level. Radio frequency was set and convoy order was as follows:
**** Roy - FJ - Lead
** Yacine - Wrangler - 2nd Lead
** Sunaif - Prado
** Miguel - XTerra
** Bahis - Patrol Y62
** Enzo - FJ
*** Nanda - Prado - Sweeper
We started on the right side of the gatch and headed towards Sweihan. We played on the big dunes at the begining and then headed towards the medium sized dunes where we caught up to Paolo's convoy. There was a medium size dune that everyone had multiple attempts on wherein each on the team could test thier car to go as high as possible but in a safe manner.
We then headed towards the end of the dunes area and proceeded to head back to the bigger bowls and dunes near the gatch. We constantly played in the bigger dunes where each one of the drivers got to test the true potential of their cars. Towards the end of the drive we had the pleasure of Marshal Ahmed Adel joining our convoy just before we exited.
Overall everyone drove really well. There were no recoveries. We took a few breaks in the middle of the drive and enjoyed the beautiful whether. It was a fund day to be out in the sand. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Until next time... Adios!!
