We embarked on a leisurely westward journey along the gatch road, smoothly navigating towards the Al Faya side. The convoy showcased impeccable driving skills, encountering no recoveries or stucks until our second break around 3:30 PM. Feeling a bit adventurous, we decided to spice things up, offering some lessons in recoveries and providing new drivers with a taste of accelerating up a few dunes.
In the next 2.5 hours, we witnessed an astonishing 12 recoveries and multiple 2nd and 3rd attempts, keeping our support team delightfully occupied. At one point, three cars formed a sand bound trio on the same dune, creating a humorous yet thrilling scene.
All participants got a firsthand look at the art of recoveries, with special thanks to Volodymyr for taking care of most of them . As we approached the end of the drive, Volodymyr faced a minor mechanical hiccup, requiring a graceful exit escorted by Explorer Reji.
By 6:10 PM, all vehicles safely exited the sand at the BBQ point, marking the conclusion of a joyous and eventful drive. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated marshals and Explorers for their unwavering support. Can't wait to reunite with everyone in the sand next time. Until then, Adios!
