Saturday Morning Newbie at Nahil

We gathered at Nahil Deflation point at 08:30 and after the safety briefing, we started driving at 09:12 in the below convoy order:

Engin (Lead)
Ahmet (2nd Lead) - int
Waleed - newbie
Paulus - newbie
Christiano – newbie
Fazil - newbie
Mehmet - newbie
Ozan - newbie
Andrea - int
Eddy (sweeper) - intermediate
Marshal Sandsailor (floating support)

We started the drive in the low dunes section of Nahil and then moved to the higher dunes when we gathered our confidence and warmed up. We practiced straight crest, climb, descent and steep descent. We had four short breaks for chit chats. We had few second tries and three rope recoveries. Between the low and high section of Nahil we drove from the technical area behind the farm where we had a good exercise on navigating sharp turns.

At around 11:15 Ozan’s Pajero gave overheating warning and we drove him to the gatch road to drop him there. We then headed to the east of the gatch road and drove a bit more completing the the drive at 12:00. During the third break, Sandsailor took Eddy and Andrea to an upper intermediate play round for about 10 mins.

All drivers did very well. Paulus in particular impressed us with the way he handled his stock Fortuner. I also advised Waleed that he is ready for upgrade to Int.

Ahmet - welcome to int Ahmet. Now its a diff level game but you already have the basics. Build on the experience.

Waleed - great control of the car. You are ready for intermedite and new challenges. Congrats.

Paulus - respect the control of the stock fortuner. You did really very well. Keep it up

Chritiano - started slow but then you found your pace. Go easy on the breakes as they may put you in trouble. The more you drive the easier this will become and you start to judge appropriately how much power you need where and when. Think about the self recoveries you did yourself. with experience you wont need help

Fazil - started fast but then slowed down as needed keep your pacing with the car infront. Opposite to Christiano you should go easy on your accelerator. You are in good control though but too fast. Keep driving.

Mehmet - abi 2nd drive and you are slowly starting to find your pace. Kill switch will make things easier. Keep a bit closer to the car infront. Its all about experience as your car is powerful and good enough for the next 2 levels. C u next time.

Ozan - dont go that easy on the accelerator. When you did push, you did very well. Its again experience. The more you drive the easier it will get
