What a lovely fun drive indeed !

First let me thank the organizing Marshals Salah and Urs for a great job done here as well as the assisting Mashals on all the Waypoints.

A big applouse and thank goes also to my team BouJebba, Yaser and Banna, well done we made the third place

Banna, sorry that you left early, I have your prize with me.

Congrats also to the winners, great job, what was it Maccaronis ? And all others for a lovely day out.

Hope we do this again ...

Congratulations to all the teams, you know, GPS fun is a fun day, and I could see that all had fun.

Thanks to Adiga, Tamer and Batal for choosing the route and ofcourse Urs for the huge administration work, Man you are organized ...

Me and Diver hada great relaxing day ... Just having fun around the teams ... Driving from point to point, sit, relax, eat and drink and then move to the next point ... (I think I gained weight in this trip

)

Thanks to my wonderful team Kghaleb, 9ball and Wasabi who were so cool following me and helped me make this team the winner of this event.

The AD4x4 GPS Fun Drive 2008 is history and I assume everybody spent a great day in the dunes between Abu Sallaf and Sweihan. It’s a while ago since I left the Seihan Rest House but as far I can remember I have seen only WINNERS. :Trophyad4x4: Well done everybody. :bravo:

A special thank to Adiga who organised this day and to all the supporters behind the scene. Marshalina Tweety, Mans, Waleed, Halwa, Jo, Tamer, Batal, Diver and Pulldozer you all did a great job. :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

Here some details of today:

The 29 AD4x4 GPS Fun :jeep: navigated a total of 1’366.4 km and collected 2929 grams of sand.

A total of 145 recovery items were checked whereof 20 items or 13.8% were missing.

Jo and Mashalina Tweety asked 32 (easy) questions. 13 questions or 41% were answered correct.

The “ranking list”

1--- 3 - The Desert Macarauders 56.5 km.....aka MACARONIS
2--- 5 - Sand Dragons 59.7 km
3--- 6 - The Triple V Stuck Queens on the Cripple Camels 63.0 km
4--- 1 - Team Desertpirates 68.4 km
5--- 7 - The Unforgiven 71.5 km
6--- 8 - The Prestige 80.9 km
7--- 4 - The Dunes 92.0 km
8--- 2 - Jeepers 95.3 km

The disctance included any added penalty kilometers or deducted bonus miles (for correct anwers).

The least effective average distance driven 42.0
The most effective average distance driven 59.3

Thank you all for another great adventure in the desert! And special thanks to Khaiwi for leading our team to victory! Desert Macarauders rules!! Man we were going so fast I barely had time to take a picture!! And thank you Wasabi for planning a nice stuck so I could do my first recovery, and on a Land Cruiser! 8) Tintin nice haircut! Love the t-shirt and the gifts, thank you very much! By the way, where did you guys get those jack boards and what are they made off ( I missed that part when you explained it ).

The Dunes

I think we did a great job of driving with only 1 minor stuck, but we really suck at answering questions. Anyway it was a very enjoyable and fun day and well worth a few more similar events in the caleder. Thanks to the organisers and marshals that helped.

The Dunes we will not be practising driving for the next one, but we will book time in the library catching up on facts and figures.

Mate u saved the day with the caffeine injections.

Tintin, nice hair-do, nice flag, nice improvisation when jacking the car up but most of all u came thru when tea was required.

A very memorable day had by all, have already come up with a few plans for the next one!!!!!!
