ANIT - 4th of Sep / Report

What an amazing ANIT!!!
We met at Adnoc Mahwi and all were on time except one who managed to find the wrong station We got him at least before we left so everything was fine. We went to Al Khatim North where we deflated and did the ANIT briefing. With good help from Mike, Andy and Lee I think we covered all of the things that should be included and I hope you all felt a big welcome to the AD4x4 family.
We then started the drive and it was a quite easy one as it is supposed to be on an ANIT. We didnt have any major stucks more than two of our dear Marshals that decided to get together down in a bowl for some intimacy between their cars. We managed to get them out without any damages and the trip could continue. We even managed to do some easy cresting and some small challenges and I must say you all did very well. Finally we sat down for a family gathering wih BBQ and lots o discussions and laughs.
Thanks to the marshals Andy, Mike and Lee for watching over us. Katharina, Meinich, Danbay and Rolf (did I forget anyone?) for the assistance. Without your support these trips are not possible. Akube and Fox also assisted within the convoy so thanks to all of you.
Finally thanks to all you new members of the family and once again welcome. You all did well and soon your first star will be given. Looking forward to see you soon again in the sand.

This was a great ANIT, actually I did not see any ANIT driver, all did very well today, bravo, big applause to all of you !

Some pics are uploaded, trust they speak more than a thousand words .....

Thank you Erik and Andy for organizing, Rolf, Fox, Dan for giving a helping hand at all times. We enjoyed the drive and the relaxing chat in nice weather under the full moon, we actually left at 10 pm, so what, it was just toooo nice to go home.

Nice route for ANIT's and none ANITS's It was good to be back with the club and cruiser around the sand again. Good to see you again Eric, Lee and Mike and fellow "nordmann" Rolf and a lot of new faces

Enjoyed the BBQ except that the "one time metal box BBQ" from ACE sucked!! Buy one, get two for AED 8.- says it all. Don't do it... Time to invest in a proper one i guess!!

Excellent route, excellent company, excellent BBQ overrall a great day out.
There were alot of smiling faces at the end of the day.
Thanks to everyone for making it possible and a success.

As stated, we reluctantly left the BBQ area at 10, the weather was amazing, the moon light up the whole area and the conversation was in full flow (as was the Tea and coffee). The time for late BBQ's is upon us again, just a short stop from camping season.....Bring it on!!!!!!

Thanks Eric for a nice trip, thanks to all for being there and joining together in the experience of driving and the cool-down at the BBQ with a mild breeze and full moon over the beatutiful scene.
The two Suzukis with small tires went quite well, congratulations ! Stay on, and if you get the hang of it, you may decide one day to go for larger tires with a car fitting them.
Robby99/Barbara(?) I am sure you will not let such long time pass again to your next trip ! Enjoyed learning from you about the camel spider and other adventures.
I hope to see again soon all new and old friends !
