What a nice day out in the dunes again! We met in time at the Adnoc, left at 1430 sharp and picked up Gladiator at the next Adnoc on the way to Al Khatim. Short brefing at the deflation point where a bunch of camels came to check out our 4x4's. We then hit the sands and for the next hours we played up and down, side to side, nice play areas, and plenty of challenging spots. We had a couple of stucks, 2 pop outs  , 1 Badrol rear bumper damage, Fox lost his rear right fender and the day finished with Thabit and his interesting tire puncture, managed to find a way to get a branch right through the side of his rear left tire. Still everyone had a large smile on their face :D While we were changing his tire Wasabi's group showed up. Once the tire was changed we headed to the BBQ spot were we met Viking's ANIT group. Excellent BBQ and T-Bone again! Everybody seemed happy, hope you enjoyed it, I sure did! Thank you Gladiator for your assistance and for excellent tea and shisha, Triplod for 2nd lead, Imad for sweeping and short 2nd lead, and everybody else for being such a nice group. Hope to see you all again soon! :bye2:

Thank you 9ball for a wonderful trip, nice spots and nice playground !

Thanks everybody for great company and good spirit, Juergen what a
surprise to meet an old ex-colleague in the sand unexpectedly, hope to
catch up again. Thabit I wish you all the best beginning of next month.
My special guest Donna enjoyed the day and was very impressed by the
friendly and helpful group, sends her regards to everyone.

It was a great time to practice and refine some skills, have my first popout,
test the jack plate (now I am confident), cresting really high more than I
believed I would. That's when the fender flare went, I guess it must have
come loose on the "runway" and then got in contact with the wheel near
the crest so was ripped off.

Again THANK YOU all !

Thabit you did very well, you have excellent driving skills and know your car well. Imagine what you could do with a Jeep! Pop-outs and stucks are normal things, and for the plastic ''ornament'' underneath your front bumper like I said it was unevitable at some point it would come off. For the flat tire, could have happened to anyone. Happened to me once in Oman in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, a small sharp rock went right through my tire. The trip was intermediate with a small taste of advanced. I think we did about 7 or 9Km's. Imagine an Advanced trip where we can do 50Km's +, huge dunes and crazy stuff, almost no stop, high speed, have BBQ, and then take off for a night drive in almost similar conditions! :stars: :tease2:

Dear Yann,

it was a fantastic trip, nice group and lots of fun. In enjoyed a lot playing around and practicing in the dunes. After all, I think it is time now to get a new front and rear bumper. ;)

Fox, it really was a surprise to meet you unexpextedly in the sands and I hope too to meet you again soon.

Sorry for leaving early, but I had promised my family to join them for the WOMAD festival.

Thanks again and hope to see you soon.

Juergen

I was lucky to have such team (group) to help me that day. I replaced the tires and ready for another offroad trip :-)
