Marshal Run trip report

Well it was great to see you all at Sweihan, a great bunch of Marshals. Thanks to Chief Khaiwi for leading.

Sorry I couldn,t stay with you for more than 1km Obviously the 1000,s of dirhams Western Motors took ( stole ) from me this week didn,t work. As you saw the 4x4 failed to engage, despite a full overhaul of shims and transfer case, and a new radiator.

And of course.......YES, to make matters worse the brand new radiator blew up on the way back. Pleased I left in daylight to sort this out.

I will leave the full report to Khaiwi, hope you all had fun, sorry again, up early tomorrow to see my favourite garage.

Thank you Mac for promoting the idea for the Marshal run and thanks to our Chief for leading so nicely through Sweihan. We did not make it to the end, but more importantly we had fun, since long time an AD4x4 trip without any responsibility, just relax and drive

I hope we will have a Season Opening drive in October for us Marshals only, think that would be great ....

I would like to thank Mac for coming up with the Marshals run trip. I am sorry to hear all this happening to your car....... Hope Banna's car also gets fixed soon.

I was so flattered having all the Marshals in one trip that is not newbie or a major club activity. The weather was really great considering this time of the year and all have enjoyed it I assume. The track was not that challenging by any "marshal" standard however we were managing to get stuck and crested here and there (I miss the LIWA marshals).

Eventually we had to stop 9km before the detination point and we all had a relaxing sunset rest and snack.

Thank you all for following me again and hope we can make LIWA marshals run when the weather permits.

I had fun following Master Khaiwi , it finished a bit to early, but it was out of our hand!
Was feeling a bit sad when infleting.............no night drive

Was a fantastics Idea to have or to see most of our marshals together, ( remembering Liwa ).
We all broke most of the Club Rules !! anybody didn't ??? but it was one of a kind !

My parents had a blast and were very impressed with everyone. I thought I was going to have to take the easy route - but they kept asking for more

I even got to try out my wife's jeep as mine was - well - .... not quite up to it

i'm late for the report, but no etisalat home for 2 weeks...

It was a great day!!! we had so much fun altogether, driving, chating, teasing each other...
Basically, Khaiwi was leading, Gladidi was 2nd lead, then you had 13 marshals floating checking on the convoy, and Jo Sweeping!!! and we had a blast...
Weather was perfect, track was great and everybody just choose his best way... we unfortunately had to stop a little earlier than planed. Well, i believe this is one of the last breakdown of the old patrol, who will be replaced soon??? Anyway, we enjoyed a great dinner break with old friends... and had a small night drive lead by Mood at a quite fast pace...

and yes, we have to do a marshal run for the season opening but this time in Liwa (adac training!)

it's been a three month since i took my jeep offroad and i went out on this trip even though i did not finish the recommended break in period for my new gears. i simply couldn't miss such a trip

thank you guys for such a good time, its nice to have all of us gathered again.
looking forward for the next one

What a nice day! The weather was unexpectedly very good.

I really enjoyed the company of my dear fellow marshals. Looking forward to the next one in Liwa, where the tracks are not that bumpy!
