Trip of the stars - 6th Aug - Report

Post by Viking »

Almost all the registered stars showed up at Mahwi and we headed for Al Khatim to deflate and the standard briefing. We started with a few challenges directly to raise the adrenaline level a bit which resulted in a few stucks. Thanks to Mood who was helping out in the back. We cruised around the dunes a couple of hours before we started to head back towards the traditional BBQ-tree. Fox was leading the last part and I hope you enjoyed being up front.
We finalized the day with a few nice slopes and bowls before we sat down for some snacks and drinks.
It was a hot day but very nice. With a group like this no weather can stop us :-)
Thanks to Fox for 2nd lead and later lead, Rolf for sweeping in the back and of course Mood who couldnt stop himself from some more sand after spending time in Liwa.
Thanks also to all the members. It was a nice group and I hope you all enjoyed it. Even though it was a bit tricky here and there you all did great. AND I also managed to get my mandatory stuck at the end being too cautious over that steep crest but as I say "It is better to be too slow than too fast"
C U soon again in the sand.

hehehe ... just got out of the shower ... and I am wondering, if the landlord will complain about a jammed drain ... jammed with DESERT SAND ...
Viking my dear ... your compound swimming pool will get a nice sandy beach on its edges

As usual a nice and interesting trip ... thanks ALL for the great time.
Mood ... I really felt sorry for you my friend  after too short time in Liwa full of energy "watching" over us and pulliing and snatching and snatching 8-)

AND IT WAS HOOOTTTT (hotter than in Liwa actually!)

Thank you all for a good trip, enduring 49 degrees at the start and 42 at the end,
lots of rescue activities in the soft sand valley, testing the effects of colour on
the battery operation, nice chats at the end with a small breeze cooling down.
Thank you very much Viking for a nice route with some challenges, and thank
you for giving me the chance to be on the front for some time. I enjoyed the
adrenaline for having to decide direction and sorry for the longbeds, all this area
was full of short steep angled small dunes.
Eric I hope you managed alright to get out early for golf. Mood, Woodpecker
(you caused my first adrenalin in the morning when I reached my car !),
Mamoun, Thabit, RolfP, nice to see you all again. Zayed89, Stefan nice to meet
you and Zayed we will train you in English, don't give up. Rolf hope you get a
good job done changing colours. Detlef it is always nice exchanging about our
twin toys.
Hope all have a good start into Ramadan, and see you again !

I am sorry to reply late in

It was a nice trip Bespt wonderful new friends

Trip was difficult at first did not expect that

We have entered a difficult level of leadership and was a beautiful experience

Has been taking a hit the front bumper and the repairs will take care insurance at a later time

I have asked the PCB 3 tons to return to the rear and front bumper shocks and we called the police and the cost was only 300 dirhams Saaaad Today, gold for the Agency the cost of repairs and 12 thousand dirhams Bintza insurance approval and then repair it upon themselves to

I got to know the members of Kano in advanced levels and benefited from Kbarathm in that area

Thank Viking on this trip
