The German trip - report

German trip was announced and German trip it was. For a moment I thought I was the only non-German
We met at Mahwi where we greeted our guests and then headed for Al Khatim and the deflation point.
After a short briefing we hit the sand and started having fun. Initially we were nice and slow but after a while we started to increase the difficulty a bit. During one of our breaks Tawalbehs trip passed by and we noticed we were on the same radio-channel as them so we decided to change.
Wereached the bigger dunes in the western part of Al Khatim just to find that Tawalbehs group including Mood, 9Ball and Adiga "destroyed" it with their tracks Never the less - we played around for a while before we headed for the camel farm. The camels were in a good mood and allowed us to cuddle a little with them.
We continued back to the BBQ spot where we met up with Tawalbehs group and also Jo, Lia and Chico.
We enjoyed a nice time under the stars before we headed home again.
Thanks to Nikofin for 2nd lead and Fox for sweeping in the back. Thanks also to all German members who volunteered for the trip. Special thanks to Juergen that hosted the two German guests in his car.
Also thanks to Wasabi and Heinz for keeping an eye on the convoy from the side. You guys seemed to have a good time.
Finally thanks to all members that showed up and made it a nice afternoon in the sand.

Thanks to all the marshals, sweepers and assistants for making yesterday's run a lot of fun.

I had a great time and especially enjoyed going forward a lot more often than going backward as I did on my first trip (lots of bogging down and taking numerous runs at different hills)

I look forward to the next trip and hope to have time to relax and stay for the bbq then.

Thanks Eric for organising this trip. It was pleasure floating around. Everybody did well and only minor stucks. I hope that the guests enjoyed as much as I did. Nice bbq and chit chat afterwards with the other groups rounded up a perfect day out. Thanks everybody.

Great trip yesterday Viking. Nice and easy with some fun runs in between. The side sloping was an added plus for sure

I posted the pics I took yesterday. If anyone wants full sized copies (Frank) then just PM me and I'll email them to you. I figured maybe you'd want ones with your daughter in them.

Dosn't matter! Much more important is - I had fun on this great trip

On the way back the beer in my fridge was calling me and I was speeding up - YEAH the COOL BEER was GREAT after such a nice trip
