Post by tillybean »

Dear All

I am delighted to announce that AD4x4 are officially part of the "Desert Clean Up" initiative announced by HH Sheikh Abduallah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.

This is brilliant news for us as a club.

For more information - in Arabic only - please go to http://www.wam.ae/servlet/Satellite?c=W ... 5099399918

English translation - thanks Yehia - says :

In response to His Highness, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Initiative (Cleaning Desert Campaign) Starts Next Friday.

Cleaning Desert Campaign will start next Friday. in response to H.H.Sk. Abdullah bin Zayed initiative through twitter .

H.H.SH. Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Public Works, the Chairman of National Information Council urged the employees of the Council to participate in the initiative. His Highness highly appreciated the initiative of Sheikh Abdullah for its important goals, and assured that it will find the response from all the young generation in the country to volunteer their time, thoughts and efforts to carry the initiative out.

H.H.SH. Hamdan mentioned that the initiative of H.H.SH. Abdullah reminds us of the great efforts of The Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan to put UAE among the pioneer states which preserve the environment. This was appreciated by the concerned world communities in awarding Late Sheikh Zayed the International Environmental Award in 1991.

SH. Hamdan said that this initiative states that preserving the environment is a policy followed by UAE supported by a rich environmental heritage which leads the society to make efforts in preserving the environment enabling UAE to be a pioneer example followed by other countries.

The National Information Council participates in this initiative together with some Abu Dhabi environmental bodies, UNION NATIONAL BANK, TAKATUF, SANID, ABU DHABI 4X4 CLUB, and others.

If you wish to register for the clean up trip - if you are not part of DesNav or any other trip on Friday - then please do so here : http://www.ad4x4.com/club/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12696
Congratulations again AD4x4.
