Joining higher grade trips

Dear members,

It was noticed during the last couple of months that members are requesting to join trips which are higher than their current grades claiming that they think they are professional enough and have the skills to join higher grade trips.

Please note that AD4x4 have a grading system which should be strictly followed. Therefore, joining higher grade trips is not permissible in AD4x4.

Joining higher grade trip might be permissible if invitation is coming only from a SC member and this will be on a strict exception.

I urge all of you to attend more trips in his level to sharpen his skills and understand his car capabilities and knows where it can take him and bring him back safe & sound, be sure when you reach that level you will be called to have a deserved upgrade.

What about ANIT Grade? Does a person have to first start with ANIT or can we go straight to Newbie?

Hi Marcielago, you need the ANIT to get your first star and start moving in the upgrade system. New joiners can join Newbie trips before doing their ANIT. However, no stars will be given.

I am curious about drivers who drive with other clubs and have prior experience. I drive in Dubai with couple of other clubs every weekend and looking for a change in scenery and terrain. Honestly a newbie trip would not be a fun and that is what I am looking for.

How does one go about it as I would love to explore sweihan and other areas where you have some very interesting trips

Hi kash
you sound familiar

welcome to AD4x4, our lower grade trips especially the ANIT trip is not to only teach members
how to drive in the desert, we know that many have previous experience but its to introduce AD4x4,
its rules and safety measurements and to see the degree of how much members are willing to stick to it

many of the new coming members which have outside experience don't find it easy to exactly stick
to the leader track for example and this can be extremely unsafe specially when driving fast in higher grades
therefore we do highly recommend that new members start from ANIT discarding their background to get familiar
to our rules and believe me in no time you'll have some stars

Hi Kash,
To enjoy AD4x4, you first have to understand our system and policies.

Yes, we understand that driving in a newbie trip will not be challenging for you. But at least, you will learn more about us.

Our grading system is simple and if you have good driving experience, you will be upgraded faster than other members who are still in the learning process.

hi Kash,
I am in the same situation as you are.
Let us try and request an ANIT organised very soon.
I am travelling from the 23rd of Dec till Jan 7th. After that I am free to join any ANIT.
BTW: are you in AUH or DXB and NE?

I have no problem with joining an ANIT trip, but they should also be offered more frequently. For example will there be an ANIT today on the way to the Party in Phenix Camp?
