1-Well i came back with another shop for our jeeps. Web site is http://www.aev.ae just go thru it, what ever u find؛let me know about it and i will get it from them with half of the price. Even if the item cant be found، leme know what u reqire and i will get it for u.

2- if u need a garage where u want to fix a bang or a paint job and fixing parts in RAK, my brother got his own garage (he is an old jeeper، a real one)

AEV is a regular active menber on this board and Iam pretty sure this can not be!

Most of the parts are from the USA and you can check the price at Quadratech.com. AEV might get a good discound for an bulk order, but in an normal rage of 5-10%!

I dont belief in the 50% discount you mentioned! If I am wrong, I take 1500 JK frontbumper, 1500 JK rear bumper, 800 set of 33" tires, 600 4" lift kits and 200 Warm winches

UNFORTUNATELY all shops in the UAE do the following:

end customer price (!!!) from quadratec PLUS shipping via UPS or FedEx PLUS a little margin (for having it on stock when you are in need)

we ... the customers ... are buying from these local shops instead of ordering ourselves via internet, because we want the part NOW.

They ... the shops ... they get the parts of course for the dealer price (20-30% off from the list price) and they ship via container twice a year (for a fraction(!) of what we pay) pay 5% tax and they put a super profit on top.
FOR SURE I CAN SAY : they are earning more money than any shop in the US ... and their warranty and service still SUCKS big time!

And ad4x4 members "sometimes" get 5 to 10% ... wooooow ... and when the shop owner gets pissed off for some strange reason even 0%! (pfff ... and I thought the customer has to get pampered)
All I can say ... the more competition the more healthy the situation will get. And I wish them A LOT of competition.

@super_jordan: if AEV think they can offer dumping prices unofficially through your brother to repair some situation or because they are afraid of some upcoming new competition, fine. I want to see that with my own eyes ... even more a reason to get pissed off ... 50% margin in there for so long.

The competition will still come ... for SURE ... or we customers will order even more ourselves from the US ... for the same price or more ... because there is NO benefit anymore to buy from the local shops ... no warranty ... no customer service ... no satisfaction ... and most parts are not instantly "there" ... only the bitter feeling that we only get ripped off.

@the shop owners:
1. review your prices and your discount policies ... and be fair! (c'mon ... double earning is NOT fair.)
2. BE CONSISTENT : there is no "stupid" customer who deserves to get ripped off, and prices do NOT change between phonecall and shop visit.
3. enhance the competence of your employees ... in the show room AND in the work shop.
4. shit happens ... but when it happens be "a man" and fix it. (warranty issues)
5. have some parts on stock ... not only in the catalog. (or update/maintain your eshops regularly with estimated arrival time/availability)
