Hello all.

I am after some urgent help.

I have been shortlisted to provide Police Training with Edgewater College in Al Ain on an on call basis, ie: fly in and deliver training.

They have asked me for my daily rate in US dollars.

Now I know what ADP would pay but they have a Federal Budget.

Can anyone assist in what I should charge a college to deliver training on their behalf. I don,t want to price myself out at the first hurdle.

I anyone either paying for training for their respective companies or delivering training on a daily rate.

Any help appreciated, I have to reply within 24 hours.

Thanks so much.

Mac

Based on the rate/figure that you know will be paid to the college, Ask for 70% of that . So the college take 30% margin to cover their cost and make some profit. If they negotiate you can go 10 to 20 percent lower of your orignal offer.

Thanks Buddy, the problem is I have no idea what the college will be charging to the customer so I cannot base any figures around the unknown sum!

Daily rate here in UK for such training is usually 300 Pound Sterling, so I am thinking around that figure in US Dollar

Reasonnable enough. Add 15% on that for negotiation and start with this ROM

It depends on the training ... If it is a normal training, charges are between 1000 - 2000 dirhams per day. If it is a specialized one, it can go upto 10,000 per day.

Ofcourse all other expenses such as hotel, transportation, airfare, food is paid by them.

A high level consultant normaly charge USD$ 2000./ day. Plus expenses. Shoot for this. Then negotiate

You quote 1000 -2000 AED. Means you are cheap in quality.... A 2000$. Means you are high in quality.... They will go for the 2000$/day. !!!

ADP rate * 2 up to *3 will be the cost of the course from the college as a wild guess

You should ask for ADP rate *2 as minimum since they will have many trainees

With yr fees and expenses, you still gonna leave them with more than 50% to enjoy as a net

Trainer ( as facilitator ) charge would be AED 2500+ Per day. Keep in mind the average Man day rate for a consultant ( as a resource ) is $ 200.

If you are the training provider , it's a different story as the charge can be per participant or man day in which the man day charge average of $2000.

That is for general or common topics.

In other cases, the type/ topic of the training plays a major role e.g. Tailored, new, unavailable etc. where charge can go really high as the program will require X man days for planning, data collection, design etc.
