Actually I am (and not only me) disappointed by the slow processing of Quadratec and their "group order" handling.

Might try 4wd (4wheelparts is a sister!) soon

i contacted then for couple of items
im planing to order

it the bestop cabin cover + bar
they replied after 1 working day
they asked for 100.6 USD for delivery
and 4 working days delivery period

if any body is willing to order lets order it as a group
for discount on itmes and shipping

ooops ... ... today is the last chance for the 15% site wide discount ... so I ordered yesterday already some small parts
waiting for their shipping quote ... still. lets see how fast.

btw : I did not contact Jakie (yesterday was sunday) ... will contact him/(her?) now

EDIT:
ok ... Jackie responded on their Tuesday morning with a shipping quote and that one part was backordered.
She recommended that I do not split the order but ship all together when the part arrives to keep the shipping charges low.
(They ARE ok, really!)
THE BEST THING : the already available parts will be held back for me to make the shipment complete and not further delayed.
(no endless Quadratrash waiting anymore ...)
And my CC will be charged once the items are REALLY shipped
So far I am happy ... lets wait and see if the estimated arrival/shipping will hold up.

got my parts today!

yesss ... complete and as promised and shipping charges are OK for 33 kg (USD 190,- three big boxes for 5 items) via air freight (UPS expedited)
only surprise ... the 5% customs I had to pay at UPS were calculated quite strangely

it has been a long time since i had to do a report about my order to 4WD...

i Had to say i have been impressed! really a lot.
The first goal of my order was to replace the side windows of my TJ half door from plastic to hard sliding... not available in UAE unless order and up to one month waiting... Then i also wanted to get new rims, black... Hard to find in Abu Dhabi, even in Dubai... where basically, dealers propose you what they have and not what you want... Or again, order through the next container (one month min...)

so, i get in touch with Jacky for a quotation... and when i got the prices, i simply had more and more... The shipment has been made through UPS, and was by kg... so no need to do group order, or whatever...

i eventually ordered:
- sliding side windows
- 5 procomp rims,
- jacks for hood,
- Smittybilt gear overhead console (very nice)
- hood grills
- new hood latch

Final order was 75Kg... and it was home less than a week later!!! all exactly as per my expectation.
As for the cost, when you add the price of it (10% discount on all item if not on already sale), the shipment and the custom fees (7%) it is around the same price than any dealer around here. But delivered to your door, and with a full choice of brands and items... no time wasted to go around all the dealers, go to dubai, etc...

So, i'll do it again, without hesitation, and i recommend it!

YEP ! My current first choice when I'm ordering anything is through 4WD.com!

I order stuff from there and it ends up being equal to or cheaper than the local suppliers!

But most importantly, I can choose whatever I want and not whatever is available with the local suppliers which is a really great bonus.

Make them 3 ... I have been ordering through Jackie for the whole last year ... who needs QuadraTrash?
You should look out for their 20% site wide off weekends btw ... I got some heavy stuff during such a promotion more or less for the regular price BUT INCLUDING SHIPPING TO MY DOOR

Why don't you like Quadra SSS ? I'm looking at the K&N 63 on http://www.4wd.com going for 268.99 and on Quadratec for 225.99

40 $ isn't huge but it adds up if you're getting a few items..

Am I missing something ?

Get a shipping quote from both and compare them 4wd is better most of the time.

yup ... you are missing the fact that QT is NOT reserving in stock items for you once you ordered a longer list of parts.
So if one thing is backordered ... you whole order stays OPEN ... but they charge your CC from day one!
If you are unlucky (and the likelyhood is quite big) at any time later "something" out of your list is backordered ... and it can take several months to finally get the stuff you already paid (when every thing is coincidentally on stock)
But QT is not alone there ... summitracing does the same

... and hey: 4wd does do pricematching (and then ad4x4 discount!) ... you only need to drop Jackie a mail with a link.
