I am sure that most of you have been involved, have friends who were involved or heard of the damage that occurs during home fires.

Through involvement in a third party incident, i have come to know that most building insurances do not cover tenants for their losses, but tenants are required to arrange their own insurance to cover them if God forbid they are touched by such an incident.

The funny part is that it costs a few hundred dirhams and it covers your home contents as well as any third party suffering losses due to a fire that may start in your home (that's probably one dinner with friends ).

I have a contact at AXA Insurance that handled my insurance and after mentioning AD4x4 to him, he promised that he would provide any member mentioning my name or the Club a 10% discount on the premium as well as the best possible coverage.

Nice one Aidy. This is something that most of us don't think about but like you say, for such little money, you have a piece of mind. Hopefully it will never happen.

Go for several quotes - I was with Axa 2 years and they want to increase each year. I saved over 30% by switching to another supplier for same level of cover. (enough to pay for an illegal communicating device if I'd wanted to!)
