Hi Guys

My name is Ebrahim. I've been living in Abu Dhabi for 18 months. I drive a 2006 Lincoln Navigator. I know now that it's not the ideal offroad vehicle, but when I was shopping, I looked for a 4x4 with lots of space. I guess I got what I wanted but also didn't :D

I'm hoping to sell this car soon and get something better suited, but I have taken it offroad and enjoyed it thoroughly (even though I came back with the expected, slight body damage).

Respect to all the guys that make this club a success. Over 900 members is really something to be proud of.

Welcome in the Club Ebie.

Yes, the navigator is not the best for off roading, but you can join easy newbie trips, and Definitely an ANIT (absolutte Newbie Initiation Trip) to be introduced to the Club.

If you need any advices for the choice of the next car, don't hesitate to ask around. Members are always keen to share their experience.

Have also a look in the Sales forum. There are some greats opportunities there!

See you soon in the sand. :ad4x4:

Hi Ahmad,

the Sorento will be OK for beginners/newbie trips, no worries here. Once you have seen what is going on in the higher levels, you will soon reach the point where you either want to have such a toy to play araound as well or if you just stay with what you have.

Take your time, it will tell you what to do. ....

Welcome Mike

WElcome to the club Georges and congrats for you FJ!
Regarding the off roading gear, do not by anything, join for an ANIT (initiation) and we will explain you everything you need to know on what to buy and where too!

Hope this help and keep an eye on the newbies forum for our next ANIT.

see you in the sand,

Wasabi

Morning all
Moved here a few months ago with Mrs Dustybits after 6 years in Kuwait. She took her TJ with her and I've now added a new Grand Cherokee Limited to the stable. Itching to get out to the desert and will join the newbies even tho we've already done the last Jeep Jamboree (she's a bit of a screamer!)
Off to check out the rest of the site......

Hello everyone

my name is Bader, I just moved to Abu Dhabi in July with my wife and 2 year old boy from the UK. I just got myself a 99 wrangler (i used to have one a long time ago and wanted to get the same one again). Ive always loved wranglers, and always wanted to learn how to get into offroading and having a nice day out on the weekends. I saw a red Jeep wrangler with a sticker on it that had the sites address, and I thought it was the address of an online shop to modify your jeep and so I visited and found this great community.

I am very keen to join one of the newbie outings once we settle in our new home (moving to al reef this weekend), and hopefully do a few modifications to my jeep with some advice from you guys.

look forward to making new friends and learning new things! :)

Bader
