Hey Mpenzi,
Basic Google is enough for this requirement.
Download ur track or route from the GPS to Mapsource and click [View] menu item then select last option [View in Google Earth]
I am using Mapsource 6.10.2 , not sure about other map softwares but roughly speaking it should be possible too.
