Some of our members don't exactly know who they are, some cannot put names on faces or cars ... So this is an introduction of the Marshals to all the club members.

My name is Islam El Mantawi, Born in 1969 .. married and have 2 boys.

I am working as a Vice President - Corporate banking in Union national bank.

I lived all my life in UAE, this is my 36th year here.

Started offroading 7 years ago, learned by the Masters of the club, Khaiwi and Adiga in the Jeep club and after 2 years, I was invited by Megamoe to join him in forming AD4x4 Club ...

Wrangler was one of my dream cars since I was 10 years old .. And when I bought my Wrangler, I was not thinking of offroading, I just wanted to take the roof off and drive my Wrangler on the beach .. But things never go as you plan and now I only use my Wrangler in the desert.

During my 5 years in the club, I had so many 4x4s a Liberty, a Dodge Durango, Pajero and a Porsche Cayenne ... But still prefer my 2001 wrangler in the desert.

I always say, when we founded AD4x4, we never thought that this club will be the most popular, most successful, well known and professional offroad club in the ME. We were only thinking of making a small group of 50 members enjoying the desert together .. However, this success will never happed without the help of all the Marshals and members of the club. My name is Ibrahim Al Tawalbeh. I am a Telecommunications Engineer working as Director of Business Development. I am from Jordan and living in UAE for 35 years now. Raised, worked, married and had 4 boys. By the way, my avatar photo is not me , he is my youngest son Jad...or SuperJad.

Desert driving is something I learnt from the Emiratis those I lived among them most of my life. I had my 1st 4x4 car back in 2000 and tried most of the SUVs and 4x4 cars. I had GMC, Ford, Jeeps, Dodge, Mitsubishi...etc. and now stick to my Nissan Patrol SWB for years.

I have other hobbies like Kayaking, swimming and photography but nothing takes my attention more than the desert off-roading. I live in Abu Dhabi and available on FB a friend of most ad4x4 members ... Find me on fb: Ibrahim Tawalbeh. I like discussions and hate arguments. I beleive that life with no adventure is a risky life...

Bonjour, I'm Christophe, 38, french, which you will notice as soon as i say one word. I'm married to the sweetest algerian women i.e. Zerzou (aka Yasmine ) and father of a beautifull small monster.

I have been travelling since very young (starting 1978 Malaysia) with parents, and now for my work as project manager in construction business. I went and drove in South Africa (1995, toyota hilux), China (1997-99, Beijing Jeep, Cherokee), Tchad (2000-02, Land cruiser, Prado, Pajero), Qatar (2005-07, Pajero, H3), Vietnam (2007, Piaggio LX125) and we arrived in AUH in October 2007 (Liberty, Wrangler JK and now the best: TJ ). So i have always been off roading.

Joined the club in March 2008. Back then, i believed that i knew how to drive in the sand... Well, It appears I was driving like crap! So, trip after trip, dune after dune, the club and my brothers and sister taught me everything i know and now it's time to share back.

I have found in this club more than just thrill in the desert. I have found a family, and real friends you can count on them. Thanks to all of you my brothers and Sisters of the Dark side, the Grey side and the Pink sides...

Finally, i got the surprised to get a 6th star. i thought it was an honor, but i discovered later this is just a curse

Last advice? if you don't get stuck, you are not trying hard enough...

My name is Yann Lavoie, originally from Quebec in Canada (yes, I speak french). My wife and I have been living in ABu Dhabi now for 6 years, and we love it.
I am a Senior Respiratory Therapist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.
I have been with the best club in the world for now 4 years, and joining this club was the best thing I have done since moving to the UAE ( buying a Jeep was also the best thing )
Why ''9Ball'' ? Because my other main hobby is playing pool, especially the game of 9 Ball. I have been playing for over 20 years and love playing big tournaments and action games.
My other hobbies include boating ( I owne a Glastron 205 GT 2008) and all the activities that come with it, Karate, camping, reading, video games, travelling, movies, skiing, drinking beer, etc...

Over 18 years of experience in banking, business, industry, operations and technology, involving planning & implementation – in three leading organizations (KPMG Egypt, Arthur Andersen-Kuwait and Dubai Islamic bank-UAE)

First I moved to Kuwait in 1996 and lived there for 5 years. I shifted to UAE in the end of 2001. Since then I started travelling between the emirates to see the deserts beauty. My first car was a Rav4 and this was the first car that I started off roading with. Yes and it’s performance was great although it was not a real off road car till I burned the engine . Then I recognized that I need to buy a real off road car in 2005 and it was my PRADO the BEAST .

And when my friend Islam (The Chairman) bought his Jeep we started together with different 4x4 clubs. Islam do you remember this PIC?


And always there was a discussion between us (Me and Islam) about the possibility of starting/having our own club, and of course I was taking his words as a joke with a very simple answer how we are going to compete with other clubs.

Actually few months later he invited me to join the new group and here I started enjoying the desert with AD4x4 and the wonderful company. Yes the dream became true as I never expected that we as a group of 50 will reach 660 members in one year. And in 2and half years It became the most popular, most successful, well known and professional off road club in the ME as The Chairman said.

I drive black Jeep Wrangler which you will find almost every Friday somewhere in the desert.

Adiga is my nick name. Salah (Abu Raad) is my name, Blake & white TV age Married and a father of 2 Boys, and 2 Daughters . 17 years at AD . recently my family moved back to Jordan for higher studies. working at Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technology (ADAT) as Aircraft Hangar Manager .
Off roading all my life !!! and with AD4x4 from the first days.
My main concern is SAFETY for all the members.
Started my offroading with J33P Cherokee 4 lt, Grand Cherokee V8 5.2 lt, Pajero 3.5 lt for one month only , KJ 2005 manual shift. and finally the Green Rubicon 2013.

My name is Abdulkarim Haider, you can call me Karim, known as Abdoush, i'm 34 Years old, born and lived in Abu Dhabi by Lebanese mother and Palestinian Father.

I'm an IT guy, working as Enterprise Solution Architect, started offroading really long time back, but i consider my start as 2009 when i joined AD4x4, had a YJ, TJ, Hummer, Pajero and now in love with my JK.

The nice thing about AD4x4 that its not only an offroad club (the) that teaches us how to drive/behave offroad, its also a social club where u can take ur family out with u, meet almost everybody onroad and offroad from different nationalities, chitchat and enjoy ur time.

Anyhow, i think u should seek my friendship not only bcoz sooner or later I'll be one of the SC or the Founders but bcoz I'm the photographer here and I'd love to take some nice photo's for everyone

Hi Mac here, a Marshal since way back.

My family name is Malcolm Patterson but I have always been known by my family and friends as Mac, I joined the club back in October 2006 and my wife Gillian and I have had so many great times with this fantastic club since then, too many memories and too many trips to mention.

I have been in the UAE since April 2006 working with Abu Dhabi Police as a CID advisor, following 30 years service as a Detective in the UK.

The pinncale of my club life was to be accepted onto the Supreme Committee when it was 1st formed, we take care of all of the management issues and many more issues surrounding the club and its great membership.

Unfortunately I have suffered with ill health for the past couple of years and this has resulted in me now having to retire from off roading altogether on the advice of my surgeon, I still remain an active member of the Supreme Committee and hope to serve the club to the best of my ability for the remainder of my time in Abu Dhabi.

I am just sorry that I no longer get to see my old friends out in the desert again.
