Hi, Im Waqar and im an off-road addict!!

Got into desert driving, as part of work (work as an engineer in an oil and gas consultancy) when we had to go to site and i got stuck within 5m of the tarmac, didnt deflate or anything.

After that i said, i have to concur the desert! so bought me an Xterra (an upgrade from 1.3L manual Nissan Sunny) still have it as backup  Its not the off road version but the SE! because of the vanity mirrors and its worth it

Attended my ANIT in Sept 2009 with 1000km on the clock, and i was hooked! Not to mention my mom who accompanied me (and still does). Bought me the gear, compressor, snatch, radio and from then on it was every weekend in the desert learning, sharing and having fun. I like making gopro vids :) and have mounted my gopro almost everywhere!

The marshals specially Banna, Mike, MooD, Wasabi, Rick took me under their wing and mentored me to the driver i am today and brought me upto the rank of Marshal. I also try to emulate and nurture our fresh offroaders to learn to tackle the dunes.

Along the way i met a lot of new people and made some really good friends and had some pretty amazing experiences, especially the GPS fun 2011 and Desnav 2012 with 9Ball and Triplod, ADAC with Wasabi and Xof and AD4X4 Marathon with some of the best desert drivers.

It was amazing to grow with the drivers who joined the club along with me, and it has been a great experience.

Hi everybody, I'm Smiley ( Anne Goecke) , married with 2 children.

We came to the UAE in 1997, where I fell in love with the desert immediately. Since then I'm driving off road.
I entered the club in 2007 and I love our big international family.

Driving wise I can adopt to any style, according to the need.
My ride is a SWB Patrol and you can always recognize me at the big yellow Smile in the back of my car.

I like to help organizing big events for the club like ADAC or DESNAV and my favorite area is Liwa, because it's just magic... :D

As one of the new marshals. Hi, my name is Andrew, but everyone will know me as Scotchyl and I drive a new 2014 JK Rubicon with lots of toys. Although Scottish, I promise never to wear a kilt to the desert. Unsurprisingly I was born in Edinburgh and moved to Manchester after 12 years where family still live. I work as a valuer in Abu Dhabi for asteco and I have been in the UAE for 5 years.

Married to Melissa but no kids although we do have 2 extremely mischievous cats. I enjoy rugby, cricket and I am an active scuba diver.

My wife and I enjoy the outdoors (I am a bit of an adventure junkie) and in addition to finding us in the Jeep somewhere in the sand, you may also occasionally see me attached to a kite and a board near Yas Island, Mountain Biking near Shawka or doing the Train Yas thing on a Tuesday.
I look forward to meeting up with you in the sand somewhere.

My motto - Explore the desert, discover yourself. ;)

I am Allan, 60 years old. Born in Denmark but have lived all over the globe since 1976. Married to “my one-and-only-she-who-must-be-obeyed-and-is-never wrong-beautiful wife”, Masha, who takes photos when joining me in the desert.

Used to be a shippingman now selling shoes.

We have five children and three grand children – luckily none of them staying with us.

Started off-roading in Dubai in 2003 and when we returned to Dubai in 2013, after a spell in Pakistan, Kuwait and the Philippines, our first objectives was to get a JK and go dune bashing.

We have been in the desert every weekend we have been free since then and enjoyed the dunes and the great company of the other members of AD4x4.
