Check this out. Walkie talkies for AED 100/- only

I was looking at True Value shop in Marina Mall and found out that the sell Motorolla Talkabout 4500 for AED 199/- a pair.

The range is too small (Only 2 miles on a flat open area - around 3KM) which means that it'll be less than 0.5KM in the dessert between dunes.

This could be a useful tool for those who will stay always within the convoy and want's a cheap Walkie Talkie to communicate but It will never be a rescue way of coomunication as the range is too small.

I don't know if it is compatible with the ones that we are using or no., but I think it is.

Don'y ask em for pics and specification because I don't know. You can check the net or see it at Marina Mall.

For those who are waiting for our 12 Miles range order. The shop is ordering for us and it should be ready this week. I will announce it once it arrived. I ordered 8 pairs. 7 already booked and the remaining will be available for those who are interested. Sorry for the delay.

Good morning Ivan. Are you asking about the 12 miles range? Yes it is Motorola and cost AED 250 a Unit. Full details are in this thread:

The 2 miles range also is motorola and this does not need booking. Just go and buy it from Marina Mall.

Yep I saw this very short range set, in Marina Mall, it looked like a toy and reminded me with my confiscated set (18miles Cobra yet very small size)

Sorry guys for the delay of the walkie talkies, the guy i'm buying from didn't have any available in stock but he sent to get us more stocks and they should be available before the end of this week.

Sorry again for the delay but it's worth the wait because I found the same set available in Mall of the emirates and it's worth 850 Dhs so we are getting them for a very good deal.
